      @BuZz It's fixed! Thanks so much!

      Unfortunately, the scraper is still broken. TheGamesDB hasn't reported anything wrong on their forum, and the error of TheGamesDBJSONRequest - Response had no include boxart data.leads me to believe it might be ES.

        If no games are scraped, then you may be over your monthly request quota.

          @mitu This issue concerns about three games I added to my collection most recently. The rest of my games are scraped and have been so for years. The new games are:

          • EarthBound (SNES)
          • Phantasy Star IV (Genesis/Mega Drive)
          • Fushigi no Umi no Nadia (Genesis/Mega Drive, Japan-only)

          All three scraped fine in 4.6. I didn't save my changes before updating to 4.7, so I have to rescrape them.

            @maserspark Yes, you're right - there's a bug in EmulationStation's scraper. We'll have to fix it.

              A fix from @mitu has been applied to the scraper and new ES binaries are available again (v2.9.6rp)

                And that works too. Thank you so much for everything, @BuZz and @mitu!

                    @phil_chambers What scraping source are you using ? Can you give an example of game/rom that's not working ?

                      @mitu I'm using the built in scraper for various roms on various systems and it doesn't work. It was working last week when I installed 4.6, But I've fully updated 4.7 and it is still unable to find anything.

                        @phil_chambers You already said that - please add some details, as I asked in the previous reply, otherwise we'll not be able to check whether it's a scraping source error or an actual error in EmulationStation's scraper.

                          @mitu You don't need to be rude. As I previously stated it's unable to scrape for ANY AND ALL games I have, that were previously being scraped while on 4.6. So why I would need to provide specific examples escapes me, but I'll give you several examples to humor you.
                          Final Fantasy Tactics Advance - GBA
                          Legend of Zelda, The Oracle of Ages - GBC
                          NBA Jam Tournament Edition - Sega Master System
                          Castlevania II - Simon's Quest - NES
                          Castlevania - Symphony of the Night - Playstaion
                          Donkey Kong Country 2 - SNES
                          Metal Slug X - Arcade

                            @phil_chambers I wasn't rude, just merely asking for more details. What scraping source are you using ?

                                @phil_chambers The built-in scraper has 2 sources for scraping available

                                • TheGamesDB.net
                                • ScreenScraper.fr

                                You can configure which one is used from the EmulationStation's settings. Right now, ScreenScraper.fr is not accessible for non-registered users, so scraping from that source does not work - it's not a bug in EmulationStation.

                                If you change the scraping source and use TheGamesDB, scraping will work.

                                  @mitu Scraping from TheGamesDB doesn't pull any results for any rom on any system. Is there a system log somewhere I can pull?

                                    EmulationStation has a log in \\retropie\configs\all\emulationstation (es_log.txt), but I don't think that it logs any details about scraping request error (just the error).

                                            @jamrom2 well... it kinda works...

                                            I get parsing errors and every now and then it picks up a game title. The games it does read are seen as Atari 400/800 titles, which is good. But it doesn't recognize many, and again... a ton of parsing errors when you restart ES.
