I want to use different shaders for different consoles. IE: the fast CRT for one system, but then the fast CRT vertical for another. When I set these individually, I use the "Save Core Preset" function to get it to stick. But I now want to backup this setting via FTP. What config file manages which shaders are assigned to which consoles/emulators? I need the directory to the .cng file.

@dankcushions Found them, thanks. I'm using FlashFXP that has a weird qurk that if you don't manually hit F5 to refresh your directory, it won't show recently added files/folders (which is where those shaders were appearing).

One more quick related follow up (as to not flood the forum with too many posts). Under the quick menu Retroarch there is a "Internal Palette" option. If I select one of these color pallets and then save the current configuration, I can't seem to find where it saves this info for the core. I've checked both the system cfg file and the global one. Unless the line is worded in a weird way that isn't obvious. Or is it a separate file than the configs?

@alphabetapie 'quick menu' isn't enough info but i suspect you mean quick menu > options? in which case: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/RetroArch-Core-Options/

Yup, found it. Was in the retroarch-core-options.cfg. Thanks again! Always a super-helpful forum!
