Hello, friends. I plan to get a GPi case on my birthday soon. I don't have a Win/Mac to do the software stuff. So I looked on arcade punks for a pre-made image for the GPi case. However, it is 2 years old. So can someone please make an image already with the safe shutdown and case patching and post it here. I'm sure it will also be of use to other GPi case users too. Thank's in advance.

We only support the image from retropie.org.uk/download here in the forums. If you wish another image, you'll have to look elsewhere.

Honestly, have a go at doing one yourself. It's not that hard to do. I've literally just put my image together today after not using it in ages. I'd had the usual third party images because they came with everything ready, but many of these are quite old now. I thought nuts to it, I'm gonna give it a go and get a new build together, and so far it has been great. It's great reclaiming a handheld I'd left to one side, and I'm suddenly thrilled to use it again.

Give it a go and post up if you get any issues.

Got it. Thanks @Ranma ! But also, is it possible to do the software for it on a chromebook?

I don't see why not. I do everything on Manjaro Linux with no issues. I'd have thought a Chromebook would be much the same. Never used one though.
