      I created a microSD with retropie, starting raspberry pi4 I display a screen where it says that no gaming device is detected (currently I have no joystick or controller of any kind), and to press a key to configure or press F4 to exit, unfortunately pressing any key on the retropie keyboard nothing happens and pressing F4 exits and displays a black command line type screen.
      Can someone help me?

        @jak75 said in Retropie configuration:

        Without a controller it can be a challenge to use Retropie. Emulation Station requires a controller (a keyboard works as well, but not just as good).

        My advice: start with reading the documentation and go from there. Without it, you will be lost. And that would be a shame because Retropie is totally awesome.

          Ok, but my problem is upstream, that is by pressing keys on the keyboard there is no way to do anything, only F4 works which ends everything.

            @jak75 When you press a key on your keyboard for a longer time, you will get the option to configure the keyboard as input device for Emulation Station (ES). Don’t use F4 since it will quit ES
