@mitu I have to ask... When it gets released, is it so different that it will screw up my build, or will it be a smooth update? I dread updating these things...we've all been there. Lol.

              Thanks.

@jamrom2 I don't know what your build looks like, but any upgrade for a package preserves the existing configurations of the emulator.

Yes, that's what I was hoping for. What I meant is sometimes upgrading something creates more headaches than expected. As long as the new version sees all the locations of the config files in all the original locations, everything should be fine.

Thanks for the hard work. Much appreciated. I'm looking forward to the new release

RetroArch 1.9.4 should be installable now from RetroPie-Setup.

Binaries have also been updated, if you wish to install from source, then make sure you also update the RetroPie-Setup script to version 4.7.13.

@mitu hiya. I ran into a problem with lr-dosbox-pure after the upgrade to 1.9.4. I lost the use of my keyboard. Only a few keys work like G, J, C, etc. I haven't touched anything else, aside from trying to get it working again

It's a BT Rii mini i8 that had no prior issues. It works fine in other emulators and DosBox Staging.

Keyboard region is set to US
No other keyboard bindings selected other than default.

I've updated lr-dosbox-pure to the latest binary as well.

On a side note, the only other emulator that I had to fix was lr-handy for Lynx. It now requires the bios file to run. Prior to this 1.9.4 update it didn't need it.

Is there a possibility that a new iso with the latest updates to be released ?

My English isn't at a good level.

@windg just update all installed packages after an update of the retropie script, this is what the devs do when they release a major image-update

                                    Note concerning Achievements Sounds.
Even if you activate them in RA it is not played because it is not there.
You have to create the folder "sounds" in "opt/configs/all/retroarch/assets/" and copy a sound of your choice in there.
I am using the Playstation-Trophy-Jingle named "unlock.ogg" and it works great now.

                                      i guess you mean /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/assets/ :)

note that RA has their own unlock sound available here: https://github.com/libretro/retroarch-assets/raw/master/sounds/unlock.ogg

(retropie doesn't install this or any other RA sounds by defaults as it installs a 'minimal' assets package)
