      Pi 4
CanaKit 3.5A Pi 4 Power Supply
      RetroPie Version: 4.7.1
      Built From: retropie-buster-4.7.1-rpi4_400.img.gz
      USB Devices connected: keyboard dongle
Controller used: 8bitdo sn30pro+ Switch mode
      Emulator: Wolf4sdl

I'm trying to install Wolf4sdl (Wolfenstein3d). I'm following the Retropie documentation found here.

I have all the necessary files triple-checked with the correct letter casing and MD5 Checksum in the appropriate folder. (roms/ports/wolf3d)

I've made sure that my 'Wolfenstein_3D.sh' and 'Spear_of_Destiny.sh' are pointing to the correct files (vswap.wl6 and vswap.sd1), and that they have 755 permissions. The game simply will not start without crashing.

Not that any of this really matters... I've tried uninstalling everything, deleting all the leftover files in (roms/ports/wolf3d), and starting fresh... from binary AND source. Even the default shareware demos will not start.

A log file would be helpful - without any error message there's not much to analyse.

          @mitu
          my 'runcommand.log' displays this infornation:

          Parameters:
          Executing: SDL1_VIDEODRIVER=dispmanx SDL_DISPMANX_WIDTH=1920 SDL_DISPMANX_HEIGHT=1080 /opt/retropie/ports/wolf4sdl/bin/wolf4sdl.sh "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/ports/wolf3d/vswap.wl6"
NO WOLFENSTEIN 3-D DATA FILES to be found!

If no Wolfenstein 3d files are found, The Retropie documentation page says to input the following commands
          (cd RetroPie/roms/ports/wolf3d
          md5sum *.wl6).
Doing this brings up the md5checksum of each of my game files. everything matches perfectly....

This looks like a bug with the new version of the RetroPie scriptmodule and Wolf4SDL version (2.0). We'll sort it out.

@mitu Oh, that's too bad. Guess I'll put in on hold, and try again in a few weeks
              Thanks for the info.

@vic-viper-001 Try to update the RetroPie-Setup script and then reinstall wolf4sdl, see if launching the games works now.

@mitu I updated the setup script and Wolf4sdl, and all is good. I can once again hear enemies shout "mein leben". Thanks again for the help!
