      Hi everyone,

I'm struggling with some atomiswave roms. They are unplayable. Really, reeeaaally slow like 2-3fps. Here is the list :

      • Dirty Pigskin Football
      • Metal Slug 6
      • Neo Geo Battle Coliseum
      • Samurai Shodown 6
      • King of Fighters Neowave
      • King of Fighters XI

I deleted some generated files in the roms folder (.nvram) but it didn't help.

I've got control issues in some others :
Guilty Gear Isuka won't let me use my controller until I change Mapped port to "2" in retroarch Control section.
In Maximum Speed I can't turn either.

@yobiwan Unfortunately most Atomiswave games will have that problem, even on the Pi 4. You should try enabling frameskip in the lr-flycast core options, most of them will be playable, although you'll still have problems in Neo Geo Battle Coliseum, Samurai Shodown 6, and both KoF games.

You might get better results with some of those games if you try the Dreamcast ports of those games and use Redream, but in general Atomiswave games are pretty slow on the Pi 4.

I have both ms6 and samurai shodown 6 on atomiswave. It does slows down at times but it's still highly playable. Are your core's settings default?

            @yobiwan

from all those games only neo geo battle coliseum have some slow downs all other play well,

try overclock your pi4 and dont use any filters for high quality sprites.

            Currently running Retropie 4.7.19 on a Pi 4B 2GB
Overclock Settings: CPU 2000, GPU 600.

                Thanks everyone.
It was due to bad dumps. I had bin files and a .zip romset solved the problem.
The control issue came from the 8bitdo controller. I connected it like a switch pro controller and everything is fine again.
I went further and replaced some of the original roms with dreamcast ports in order to use Redream. Really good perfs now !
