Odd Sound Issue with Neo-Geo games when loading a save state
-
I encountered an odd issue with Neo-Geo games and loading a save state.
I was playing KOF '98 and I loaded a save state which was mid-battle, and while the game loaded and played just fine, in the background the announcer started cycling through all the fighter names and other speech in the game like "Ready", "Go", "K.O.", "Winner", etc.
This continued until the round was over. This also happened with another Neo-Geo game I was playing, Breakers.
I am using a Pi 3B, and I am using lr-fbalpha for my Neo-Geo games. Also worth noting is I am running my Neo-Geo games in AES mode.
None of the other emulators have this problem. Has anyone encountered this before and is there any way to fix it? Not the end of the world but it is a little annoying.

I don't think anyone is gonna provide that kind of support for several years old version of our project (i certainly won't), so you should use the current version (FBNeo), furthermore that issue is probably something we solved long ago because afaik those games work properly with runahead (which saves and load states at every frame).
Contributions to the project are always appreciated, so if you would like to support us with a donation you can do so here.
