        @Red_Trev

I dont get the video in the corner.
Are you running it on a Pi4? If so, I need to hurry up and find one to buy :)

@Floob sorry I should have mentioned .... yes I have a Pi 4. Thanks again for the video tutorial !

I know its off topic but do you know how to convert SORR to work on a PlayStation Portable emulator ?

I was able to download the bundle in the following video description & run with PPSSPP on retropie, but it crashed after the character select screen.

As v5.2 is more stable, is there anyway of swapping out the .DAT file & just using the .pbp file to launch it ?

@Refazeshot1 you will have to SSH into your pi to install the scripts

once there you will need to run

              git clone https://github.com/Exarkuniv/RetroPie-Extra.git
              cd RetroPie-Extra/
              ./install-extras.sh

once there you can find the sorr install script in the experimental packages under manage packages.
              Its number 396
once installed you need to put the SORR files in roms/ports/sorr

              thats it

Ok so working with this with the PI4 - it works ok I guess. I do get screen tearing and certain modes like Display and Vsync are greyed out. The picture is stretched so I have to change it to widescreen mode (still stretched but clearer) and selected a customer resolution on startup. It most certainly looks wayyyyy better on the PI3 (Tested on my PI 3 and those options are not greyed out).

@Refazeshot1 is your sorr version 5.1 or 5.2 on the pi 3

They are different if I recall. It's been a awhile since I looked at my pi3

@ExarKunIv I am running 5.2 on both my Pi 3 and Pi 4. It does look like there is a system.txt I can edit. I am going to play around with it a little I think but its not looking so great performance wise on the PI4.

Ok so I finally fixed it. Turns out it is automatically enable anyway however if you change the system.txt and label AUTO instead of BORDLESS_SYNC you get all your options back in the menu. As for the screen tearing this is cutting it down by half which is great!!

@Refazeshot1 ok it seems that when you copied the files over you over wrote the system.txt file, since i already have that included in the install script to make that file with AUTO instead of BORDLESS_SYNC

i though i had it write protected

im going to take a look again at my script

@ExarKunIv When I looked at the file at first it was not set to auto, it had the BORDERLESS_SYNC by default, I looked at my backup just to be sure. As far as the widescreen, I got it working pretty good and looks way better. All you do is run the game with 800X600. The tearing is still there though... which I strongly believe is hardware related with the pi4 itself.

@Red_Trev Sorry about that, not sure how I missed it in his video. Must of been breaking the kids up from fighting. The joys of parenthood.

you are correct on that, there is a post all about that and people doing things to fix it.

OK i just installed with my script, the system.txt was not being made.

i got it fixed now, system.txt is now made with AUTO in place

@ExarKunIv sweet! I read awhile go about the KMS drivers... the team does fantastic work on these devices. As far as the tearing goes its very minor and I am just glad I get to play it on my pi. Cheers.

There is one thing that bugs me though.... the screen is horribly stretched on my monitor. I have the same settings as Floob but can't use the window option because its too small.

Edit I changed the setting to widescreen and the resolution to 800X600 and that seems to have done the trick.

@Floob a version of SORR on the Pi4 would be very much appreciated. Is works easy enough on the Pi3 so I'm sure you can do it. But understand your issue with getting a hold of one given the pi hut has sold out and the prices on eBay are a joke!

@hawkes_84 Outside of some very small pi 4 issues, SORR works fine. I am on my second playthrough on the Pi 4. I honestly don't think anyone is able to fix the screen tearing issues until a new version of retropie is released with KMS optimizations.

@Refazeshot1 but screen size/resolution is fine if I use the same method to install it? I seem to remember someone mentioned the screen in the top right corner

@hawkes_84 Currently in Floobs video SORR uses bgdi-333 which on the Pi4 does result in small screen top left hand corner. EcarKuniv provided an updated script that uses engine bgdi-354 which corrects this issue on the PI4. The instructions are all outlined in this thread. Just make sure you install the updated script first.
