Compatibility of multiple Sony PS5 DualSense wireless controllers
-
I would like to buy two PlayStation 5 DualSense controllers to connect them wirelessly (I expect via bluetooth) to Retropie (running on my raspberry pi 4, 4GB).
Since it would be a big investment for me, I would like to be sure that everything works out of the box. I haven’t found conclusive info as I am interested that the two controllers would be:
1) Recognized out of the box as two distinct gamepads (it is ok if I have to map the buttons just once in the beginning).
2) Vibration works (for instance, in PlayStation 1 games).
3) Mouse and left/right-click is recognized (for example, to play ScummVM games).
4) Recognized each one distinctively and not as a single one.Thank you very much!

Support for the PS5 controller has been added to the Linux kernel in version 5.12, while current RetroPie version on the Pi4 will use version 5.10. So the support is not quite there yet.
FWIW, a Dualshock 4 supports everything you wish (1 and 4 are the same thing), even the audio jack works. -
@tuxforce can you try this link dualsense i compiled with this kernel linux-headers-5.10.103-v7l+ this version is in Retropie 4.8
