AdvMame too slow!!

Hello forum! My raspberry pi 4 run advmame too slow! with freezes and system cuts ((advmame run well on my raspberry pi 3b+ 0o!!)) for this reason (I search on the forum and the web but find very confusing help.....) ....anyone know a step by step config change to configure well the advmameon rpi4???
or what other version of mame emulator I can use to play with quality??? Thanks forum!! -

@dankcushions I'm using raspberry pi 4 (8gbram) with retropie 4.7.1. updated (with the updater) use adv-mame (for raspberry pi 4 no 1.4version and no 3.0version, generic adv-mame for raspberry pi 4) more info ok? any suggest?

@oleguer please provide all the info requested in my link. that includes a specific example game, the image you used, the verbose log, and so forth.
that said, i don't use advmame on pi4 - i believe it is unoptimized. in the first instance you should use one of the recommended MAME/FBN emulators: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Arcade/#step-1-choose-your-arcade-emulators
lr-fbneo is probably the best all-round performer.
