This is my first Pi and I have already been able to set up the Full Pi OS on one SD Card to run the desktop environment and setup homebridge and a few other tools.

Using a new SD card, I installed Pi OS Lite and ran the terminal prompts shown in the Manual Installation guide. After running the Basic/Full Install, it runs for 15-20 mins. Once done, it goes back to the RetroPie setup script. Here is where I get stuck.
I'm sure it's just me being new to Pi and Linux, but I'm not sure how to proceed. Al the guides and videos I've seen show the RetroPie or emulationstation splash screens after running the basic/full install. Mine however goes back to the RetroPie Setup script where I can manage packages, uninstall, update, etc...

Any help/pointers would be greatly appreciated. Again, I'm sure it's just user error as I'm very new to this.

Pi Model or other hardware: Pi 5 8GB 64Bit
Power Supply used: Official Raspberry Pi 27W 5.1V/5.0A
    RetroPie Version Used: 4.8.6
Built From: Raspberry Pi OS Lite(64-BIT) / Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm)
    USB Devices connected: Keyboard/Mouse
    Controller used: n/a
    Error messages received:n/a
    Verbose log (if relevant):
Guide used: Followed the Manual Installation guide as there is no official image for Pi 5 yet.

Support for Pi5 is still pending in RetroPie. If this is your first time using a Raspberry Pi and/or Linux, I suggest you wait until support for the Pi5 is implemented properly.

While you can do a manual installation right now, not everything is 100% working - see https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/34627 for installation reports and additional configurations.

Maybe you haven't set emulationstation to autostart after login, this step, isn't in the guide.

Configuration / tools > autostart > autostart EmulationStation after login

My English isn't at a good level.

          Yes, it is:

          https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Debian/#install-retropie:

EmulationStation can be run from the terminal by typing emulationstation in the terminal.

You can go into Setup / Configuration and enable autostart as you like.

          and

          https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Manual-Installation/#boot-to-emulationstation
Follow the steps in the FAQ.

          which leads to

Thank you guys! After a few more hours of tinkering, I was able to resolve my user error issues. Got it all set up and playing through my childhood again.
