Openbor on Rasperry 5
-
Hi everyone, has anyone managed to install Openbor on Raspberry 5?
I tried both with the "openbor" and "openbor-v6510-rpi4" entries from the "manage experimental package" menu, but without success.
I get the error:
ollect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

@Lukesv those versions don't work for the pi5.
Over at https://github.com/Exarkuniv/RetroPie-Extra
There is openbor-v5 that for the pi5 and it should work.
It's in the emulator section -
@ExarKunIv I am totally unaware of the existence of RetroPie-Extra. Now I try to install it.
Thanks -
@ExarKunIv
Hello, I think I'm doing something wrong ...
I installed the RetroPie-Extra, and, after launching it, I found in the emulators section the openbor-v5.sh, which I installed. The script was created, in fact when I launch the retropie_setup.sh, I find the entry in the "experimental package" section - "Retropie-Extra. Only that if I select it, there is no entry for installation, but only "Package help".
Where am I going wrong?
Thanks for the help. -
@Lukesv sorry that you came across this. i do try and not have errors with the scripts.
just tested it on my Pi5it is now fixed. you just need to run
./install-extras.sh
so you can remove the old script and run the update option and then select the script againthen find it in the main retropie_setup menu again
