One big question... Do you have badlands running?

I just verified I can run Bandlands on my Mac. I never bothered to transfer it over to the Pi but I can do so tonight to test it. I don't see why I can't make it work.

Hey Caver I think he is getting the same error that spreadsheet is showing for Daphne on a Pi Trek?

Getting a black screen.  Any luck from anyone else? - Getting what look to be writes to invalid addresses in the logfile.  Log at http://pastebin.com/VLMhxyH6

Your right, i have badlands running on my win pc. Retropie gives me the finger, but please try! I hope you will succeed :) than i no what to do do.

Uhm i dont know if i can ask this but.. is there a way you can share the ogg audio file off space ace?

I will definitely help in any way I can but I have to reiterate what Mediamogul just said as it seems like that would be stepping across a boundary.

Basically that is half the game as it only consists of .m2v and .ogg files. The key frame (.dat files) are generated at run time automatically. There are no executables or other files and folders.

@Riverstorm's right. The audio belonging to any copyrighted video is also a protected work unto itself. NBC/Universal actually used this distinction to bring 'It's a Wonderful Life' out of the public domain for all uses and purposes. It was discovered that the audio elements were still under protection and even though the moving images remain in the public domain, no one wants to air the film as a silent picture. This is why you couldn't swing a dead cat without finding the movie playing on every channel throughout the holiday season many years ago, whereas today, it's only aired a few times each season on the NBC network.

Well, I ran out of time last night making chocolate truffles. I will try to install Badlands when I get home from work tonight.

LJN really missed a trick by not adapting it into a Nintendo game. You could have played as Clarence Odbody, a gaurdian angel who has to follow George Bailey around and prevent him from committing suicide while also having to dodge lightening bolts and foreclosure notices from Mr. Potter.

I just tried Bandlands. I cannot get it to work. Same issue. Same weird writes in the log file. Black screen.

I did remove the DAT file and it actually did the parsing just fine and when it first started, I saw a glimpse of the "Wanted" sign, which is the first image you see when the game loads, but after maybe a frame of that video, it went black and stayed black. I exited after waiting 10 minutes or so.
