Reicast controller input suddenly not working
-
Was fine a couple days ago, my PS3 pad works in the retropie menu, it also works fine when playing any other retroarch emulators, but I tried to play some Ikargua on reicast today, and I can't get past the set date/time when starting it up, the control just doesn't function. I've tried plugging it in directly via USB, it still works in the RP menu and other games, just has stopped working with reicast. Any ideas? I'm using whatever the latest version is after doing full update in the menu.

Did you reconfigure any other controllers or change any configurations ?

@sunwind
depending on how you have Reicast configured, sometimes it can be picky if you plug in your keyboard/mouse and controllers in a different USB order.when you have everything plugged in the way you want, what does it say when you run:
evtest
I'm wanting the numbers next to your input devices. When you find out what number is for your PS3 pad, then we can edit this
/opt/retropie/configs/dreamcast/emu.cfg
or
nano /home/pi/.reicast/emu.cfg
and then under [input] change the
evdev_device_id_1 =
to that number.here's information about it on the official Wiki:

I accessed the retropie settings > misc > reicast options about adding a controler, and dimply ran that and told it to add the same PS3 pad, it asked for a few bindings which I set and others didn't (such as 'c' and 'z', no idea what those correspond to the dreamcast controller)
anyway now it works, no idea why it just stopped working. I did do a full retropie update yesterday though.
