      @Dblock how are you sure that USB ports isn't working? Did you try to connect a keyboard?

          @Dblock honestly your best bet it probably be to start over. Since you have bluetooth and usb not working you have something bad messed up. Just save the headache and do a fresh install.

            I figured that was the fix so some files may have been corrupted that blows I had it the way I wanted it thats really discouraging.

              @Dblock best thing do do is when you have it set up how you want then copy these folders/files to your pc as backup:

              /boot/cmdline.txt
              /boot/config.txt
              /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/
              /home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS/
              /opt/

                @edmaul69 thanks for the help and the advice i am pissed does this happen often and would it be the same on backing up on MAC

                    thanks @edmaul69 I will start a fresh install is there anyway to recover the Rom that are already on the SD card

                      Plug in the SD card from the Pi into your Computer.

                        @itsnitro I just have to save those four folders and when I get setup again they can be put back on SD card
