      See my post here:

      https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/2970/psx-games-with-lybcript/11

      You don't need to append any file. You only need to "open" disk tray, swap to the next disk and "close" disk (i don't remember the name of the menu options".

      But i don't know if your save will work, because you need to always launch the .m3u file

      With .pbp format you don't need to create a .m3u file

        Thanks for the response. Previously I haven't used M3U files. It should be possible to append the disk image manually but the file browser in the RGUI is not displaying ANY files (just folders and zips).

        There's a Retroarch config setting "menu_navigator_browser_filter_supported_extensions_enable" but explicitly setting it (true or false) doesn't make any difference.

        I'll create the M3U files instead and see what happens. I backed up my old image (hopefully) so I'll see what the difference is because manually appending definitely worked on that one.

          I got it working by creating the M3U file. However, it wouldn't work without the .cue extension for some reason. So I'll need to declutter the listing in ES by manipulating the es config file (possibly).

          Thanks.

            @tashman said in PS1 change disk problem:

            iles anywhere (in any folder) except .PNG files as far as i could see.
            The .pbp versions do not work with my save file. This was working fine in my last build which i believe was 4.0.2....
            Any ideas? I'm loathed to go bac

            Yeah I got the same problem. I wonder if since RetroPie 4.2 came out and RetroArch upgrade if it's been broken? It doesn't work with SegaCD games either. When going to append disk image, it doesn't show any files in any folders. @herb_fargus or anyone else know why?

              @Dominus works in 4.2 for me. i edited my playstation 3's controller configs and made hotkeys for the eject, disc prev and disk next. you could do this for your controller config but you need to match your controllers numbers. i set disk prev and next on the bumper. i put disk eject on "x" and moved menu to "b"

              input_menu_toggle_btn = "14"
              input_reset_btn = "1"
              input_enable_hotkey_btn = "0"
              input_exit_emulator_btn = "3"
              input_disk_eject_toggle_btn = "12"
              input_disk_next_btn = "11"
              input_disk_prev_btn = "10"

                @edmaul69 Yeah but will that work in SegaCD? Next disc doesn't always work with all games.

                        I just tested this with SegaCD and it shows the files and appends discs for me.

                            Was it just the last update that caused this?

                              What version of RetroArch are you using?

                                    I think I might know what the issue is and perhaps even have a temporary fix, but I'll have to test it a bit later today.

                                        Well, I thought me being able to append discs might have something to do with the Netplay fix I have on my setup, but I disabled it and I'm still able to browse, select and append discs regardless. The only other thing off the top of my head that I can think of is that I have the content directory path pointed to my ROMs folder, so that might be worth trying.

                                          @mediamogul what do you meant content directory path? Do you mean where it is setup to automatically look for the roms?

                                            I'm almost certain it wouldn't make a difference here, but it's the following setting in /opt/retroarch/configs/all/retroarch.cfg.

                                            rgui_browser_directory = "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms"

                                            yes indeed.
