PS1 change disk problem
-
@mediamogul im on retropie 4.2.2 and it shows absolutely 0 files to append. No files show up. Only folders.
-
Was it just the last update that caused this?
-
What version of RetroArch are you using?
/opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch/bin/retroarch --version
Edit:
Mine is:
RetroArch: Frontend for libretro -- v1.5.0 -- 51581e1 -- Compiler: GCC (4.9.2) 32-bitBuilt: Mar 19 2017
-
@mediamogul mine is the exact same as yours.
-
@mediamogul Yep I get the same version as well.
-
-
@mediamogul awesome! Please let us know.

Well, I thought me being able to append discs might have something to do with the Netplay fix I have on my setup, but I disabled it and I'm still able to browse, select and append discs regardless. The only other thing off the top of my head that I can think of is that I have the content directory path pointed to my ROMs folder, so that might be worth trying.
-
@mediamogul what do you meant content directory path? Do you mean where it is setup to automatically look for the roms?
-
I'm almost certain it wouldn't make a difference here, but it's the following setting in
/opt/retroarch/configs/all/retroarch.cfg
.rgui_browser_directory = "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms"
Edit:
Do you mean where it is setup to automatically look for the roms?
yes indeed.

@Dominus @mediamogul this was the fix. I put this in my segacd/retroarch.cfg and it works. It shows up now.
-
Ha! Too funny. I wonder why that even matters?
-
@mediamogul not sure. Im just glad it works.
-
@mediamogul i did however point it directly to my secacd folder since i put this in the /segacd/retroarch.cfg
-
I've thought about doing the same thing for just the systems that support disc swapping. I guess that's limited to segacd and psx, or are there any others?
-
@mediamogul i dont use it for psx. I have my bumpers and x button mapped to disc prev, disc next and open/close tray. I use pbp files though. Not sure if it works with bin/cue files. This way works with famicom disk system as well.
-
-
@mediamogul i edited my individual controller configs to add these options. That way no matter which controller i used, they had the options.
-
I've added the rgui_browser_directory to the "all" config file and now I can append the psx disks manually. It is a strange one though, something may have changed. Perhaps this should be set by default in future... Anyway, many thanks for the help on this.
Thanks too @edmaul69 @Dominus and @kbronctjr for your inputs.

I was thinking the same thing. It's a weird issue for sure. Glad the setting worked.
