Raspberry pi 3 and x86 retropie

@CodeDrawer There will likely never be a 64bit Raspbian for the RPI3 (which RetroPie runs on). The Raspberry Pi has a different CPU from a PC (ARM vs x86/x86_64)

There would be no advantages either - in fact running in 64bit mode (aarch64), many emulators would be slower (as they utilise arm / neon optimisations)

Aww. I had hopes for it! But @AlexMurphy What use is having a 64 bit computer if it doesn't run 64 bits? Isn't that a waste?

@CodeDrawer Well maybe if the next Pi clocked at 3GHz, had at least twice the RAM and a hefty GPU then, perhaps but that is as likely as my pet unicorn breeding successfully.

@AlexMurphy The pi foundation will keep producing 64 bit flagship models, and the 64 bit ness will seep into the other cheaper models so I don't see why not they will make a 64 bit raspbian.

@CodeDrawer i believe you can already get a 64-bit kernel for the rpi3 if you look around.

however it won't suddenly make the rpi3, or likely any near-future rpis anywhere near the spec needed to run dolphin, etc.
