Trouble with vram limit in the "Other Settings" catagory in the start menu...
-
Hi all,
I think it is new to the most recent release of Retropie 4.3, but there is now a "Other Settings" menu entry. I was tooling around with it and tried out the vram limit setter, and now themes are jacking up, white screens, blocks for letters in numbers in the menu, empty images in game lists, ext. However, now that I have moved the slider, I don't seem to be able to figure out where the slider was by default. I currently have it set to 250 mb, which works most of the time, but if I try to crank it any higher, it just goes wonky again. The vram limit that is set in advanced settings under raspi-config is 256. In either case, I do not seem to be able to disable this system determined vram, and I think it is messing up the look of the themes. Anyone know how to disable or reset the vram limit to they system default or disable it? BTW, other than this hick-up, Retropie 4.3 has been great and has a lot of I provements I like.

@kevinshope Vram is nothing to do with the memory split. 100 is the default. Set it at 100.
-
and even if it was, changing system VRAM is useless ;) https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Memory-Split/

@kevinshope current default is 80.

@buzz ah right, thanks. Changed in 4.3 I assume

@buzz Hi, i newbie here... may i know how to check the default VRAM value...? and izzit possible to change it...?

@dankcushions i not really understand that ;
As i read the post, i saw buddy above mention the VRAM default is 100 or 80(i guess)... but the given url is about the memory split 16/32/64/128/256 ...
i can't really link the relationship between these...
Sorry for my poor English, that might be a dummy question.., but i really hope to check on it... :p -
@dankcushions ops.. i think i know where to get it.... thanks anyway...
