[SOLVED] Dualshock PS4 pro controller working on emulationstation but not in games

Hello everyone!

I have just installed from scratch on a new sd card the RetroPie v4.3 for a PI2.
I have 2 controllers, one is the dualshock PS4 and one is the dualshock PS4 "pro" (the one of the new pro version of PS4).

Both the controllers are working fine on emulationstation (even if used together), but when I launch a game the dualshock PS4 controller works while the dualshock PS4 "pro" does not. I do not have any error, it simply does not work (for any button I press).

I noticed that I have 2 configuration files, but the second one is .bak :

Is there any specific configuration I have to apply?

Pi Model or other hardware: Raspberry Pi 2 Modello B
Power Supply used: (If using a Pi) : the original one included in the starter kit
RetroPie Version Used (eg 3.6, 3.8.1, 4.1 - do not write latest): v4.3
Built From: (Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website, Berryboot, or on top of existing OS etc.. - please provide the filename of any image used) : Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website - retropie-4.3-rpi2_rpi3.img
USB Devices connected: external usb hard disk, PS4 dualshock controller plus PS4 pro dualshock controller
Controller used: PS4 dualshock controller plus PS4 pro dualshock controller
Error messages received: none
Log found in /dev/shm/runcommand.log (if relevant): nothing relevant
Guide used: (Mention if you followed a guide) : Retropie installed from scratch following the guide here: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/First-Installation/ .
File: (File with issue - with FULL path) : a game called "1942" on lr-mame2003 and a game called "chrono trigger" on snes
Emulator: (Name of emulator - if applicable) : Ir-mame2003 and snes
Attachment of config files: (PLEASE USE PASTEBIN.COM FOR LARGE LOGS) : none
How to replicate the problem: not applicable

dual controllers can be a real nightmare in retropie for some reason,
May I suggest that you try only connecting one controller and then enter a game and test it, then swap the controllers and test again. If they both work individually then the error is likely within Retropie itself, if they dont work individually then there may be something new with the PRO version.

How do you have them connected? with a USB cable or via the wireless USB dongle?

actually, I managed to solve the problem simply removing the .bak extension. I have now two configuration files for the two controllers and everything seems to be working fine even in games.
