Running PS1 BIOS before the Game Starts

I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to make the PS1 BIOS run first before starting the Game. Just like it does on the real console. I can do it after starting the game with select + B but that's an extra effort. I tried to add a command to run the BIOS in /etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg script just before it runs the runcommand.sh script, but that seems to be a readonly file. I tried changing its permission but that doesn't work either. Is there any workaround?

Did you try putting it on from the emulation settings, while in game ?
