That might be run-ahead instances. I think the setting is found under "latency".
Could set it to zero, I never use it but it is okay with some Nintendo games.

The bios is good, you should keep it. Rarely (Arc the Lad Monster Tournament) do I ever have to use no bios.

If your pi doesn't have any heatsink, airflow, cooling fan, radiator. It will overheat and the SoC/CPU will throttle undermining performance in some games. While it is possible to underclock and increase the soft/temp limit to get adequate performance for PSX, good ventilation is still needed when playing 4+ hours.

Okay so I got Digimon World working, but now the sound is about 98% non existent. Every now and then I'll here a Digimon make a sound or the text box chimes but mainly it's just silence.

I've never had any sort of luck converting TO .pbp myself, fwiw. I think if you can get the proper file right out of the gate, you're much better off

When i update retropie from 4.0.1 to 4.0.3 (or 4 i don't remember) i got a lot of problems. Controls stopped working insidee psx games, and the bios wasn't been detected! I put the bios in the psx roms folder and it works.... But I don't get why they launch update that breaks user configuration completely
