I have a Tronsmart Mars G02. I am trying to connect it to the RetroPie. In the bluetooth settings, it is found and connected. I tried all the different bluetooth security settings. Whenever I go to the Display Registered and connected devices, it shows the device connected but says "Unknown". When I exit the bluetooth settings and go to configure input, it says there are no gamepads detected. Ive done a lot of google searching, but I cannot seem to find out how to get this to work. Any help or clues?

@shaxs The bluetooth pairing might be working, but if the device isn't detected as a gamepad it's not going to work. Have you tried to see if jstest works and detects your buttons ? See https://retropie.org.uk/docs/RetroArch-Configuration/#determining-button-values

When trying to run jstest I get "no such file or directory". Not sure what I am doing wrong. A 'sudo apt-get install joystick" says I have the latest version.

@shaxs If there is no /dev/input/js0 when you run jstest /dev/input/js0, then it means your gamepad is not detected as a joystick and that's why Emulationstation doesn't detect it.

Okay thanks for your help! I decided to change things up and use the 2.4ghz dongle and mode for the Retro Pie and it works great. I am using the Bluetooth mode on the fire TV. The goal was to have one controller for 2 devices and this accomplished that goal.
