OpenBOR 3400 & 6315 game list compatibility

Nice artwork. I'll see what I can dig up to help. I will add some to your list. I repacked all mods from my original list - I don't know if any changes were made when used from .bor folder that will affect CRC. Also, I edited a text file in TMNT: Red Sky Battle to have Casey Jones as a Selectable character, so that will surely have a different CRC.
I have been renaming all newer mods with full name/version as well the best I could. I have not been checking what version of OpenBOR is being used. All mods listed in my original list I pulled from my HyperSpin hard drive. The naming of those packs is all I have to go on. I remember painstakingly going through and manually renaming the `.paks' the name of the folder they were in. Many didn't have a version number. I can at least see if the CRC matches what you have.
This Youtube channel has a lot of OpenBOR reviews/playthroughs
The RuivoThere is a
FINAL FIGHT AND CADILLACS AND DINOSAURS OPENBOR EDITION
mod that didn't work that I think may be worth digging into as well (which I saw you are already aware of). -

Thanks :)

Maybe repacked mods will not change CRC, but only if you don't modify any fine.
If you edit a file to add a character the CRC is different, and it's cool because it is not the same game ;)
On TMNT Red Sky for me the problem was they change a 16/9 game in 4/3 ... so bad :(I have been renaming all newer mods with full name/version as well the best I could. I have not been checking what version of OpenBOR is being used.
Ok thanks, it will help, the game version is really important, because all versions a re not working fine with last OpenBOR engine.
Yes i also use "The Ruvio" blog for the last games informations :)
Yes i will try to find a solution for
FF & Cadillacs and Dinosaures
because i want to play it too :p -
Double Dragon Reloaded Alternate (v2.1.0) [v3. 0 Build 4107 & 4153]
New update by Magggas - added Hulk Hogan & Ultimate Warrior
Didn't test on retropie yet
Tested and ran well with no crashes first couple of levels . May want to give this the ol'darknior stress test
;)
Good selection of characters - Could not use credits when lives lost but I don't know if that was due to button mashing (looking for them hidden moves)Also went through and filled in missing CRC and Size values on the spread sheet.
-
@BiZzAr721 For my part i always have random crash :(
This game will not work fine on PI with some others ... and @magggas write it, it is impossible it works fine on PI with build 6315 :(
I continue to work every days on my set and Media and whish to share it quickly ...@cyperghost i really stand an update from you :(
Like you can read on this post : http://www.chronocrash.com/forum/index.php?topic=2360.90
Many games have problem, and some like DD Reloade will never be fixed :(The only solution is to have one more (than 3400 & 6315) OpenBOR build for all these games ...
If you play on higher openBOR version like 4153 and above then some games will not work because will need more fixes than I have done.
http://www.chronocrash.com/forum/index.php?topic=2360.0
For best experience play all games on 3979 this version run most of the games and show animated backgrounds in game levels.THE 3979 is an important release i think. With background animation ... Or the 4107 that make all the games working fine with DD Reloaded too, but we will lost some background animations...

@darknior I tried older builds (<4xxx) are not available from source
and I tried to compile the earliest version (4432) but failed in compiling. So I think we have to stick on 6xxx releases, maybe some older versions 5xxx will work, too. Never tried these....
-
@cyperghost Arf other versions than 3979 or 4107 will not help us :(
All the games are working fine after these versions...
Maybe you can ask for source code on Chronocrash Forum ?
There is nothing on Source Forge ? I don't have search for it. -
@darknior Well I think CC forum will deny this for knowen reasons. Maybe there are some pieces left on source forge - never searched for this, too.
-
@cyperghost I've make a post there if it can help : http://www.chronocrash.com/forum/index.php?topic=4132.0

A while back (I searched page by page in @darknior 's original thread - it was only a month ago) I posted a link to older builds I found on sourceforge. @cyperghost You mentioned it may only be useful for dingux. I took it as there was no use since we had newer, more capable versions.
I don't know if it would now be relevant but here is that link again:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/openbor/files/Previous Releases/
Edit
Copy and paste link - hyperlink would not work due to the space in/previous releases/

Thanks, i know this page, but there are only compiled versions. We are searching for source code to build it on PI.
-
The recent source code of OpenBoR are hosted on github (https://github.com/DCurrent/openbor)
You will find source code tagged with release number.
I built the 4153 version for the Pandora device and Double Dragon Reloaded Alternate mod.
I have to release it on the Pandora repo. Could try to build this version for the Pi ?I also built several other versions to have mods compatibility.
-
@fantomid Thx for mentioning but
@cyperghost wrote some threads above ....

So realease codes earlier then 41xx are lost :(
Never tried the 4153 build to compile but I think it will not work on Raspberry :(
4432 was no successDon't forget that PANDORA is ready setted in the makefile, not so for Raspberry ... there we need some modifications. Maybe @zanac can tell more to this ;)
-
@cyperghost, I made the builds with CMake and changed source files to customize the control-keys' name.
Don't know if the CMakeFiles.txt could be adapted to build a working version for the Pi. -
WOAW if it can be possible to have the 4153 version to play Double Dragon Reloaded Alternate on PI it will be fantastic :D

@darknior @cyperghost The fine people over at ScreenScraper.fe have added OpenBOR to their database. I suggested OpenBOR over on discord and within 48 hours it was on there! (z-machine was added as well) I have been trying to do my part and add all the meta data I can scrounge up on a per game basis. @oilusionista I want to give the mod developers the credit they deserve.
I thought you all may enjoy this. Hope all is well - hopefully we'll be seeing a new stable build soon!
-
Thanks for this work :)

nice! they look ace, can they be scraped?
does anybody else find he-man really sluggish on that latest 6xxx build? (i'm on a 3b+, no overclocking)
-
@agboju_logun Yes, they can be scraped! I use Skraper, and I had clear the cache so it would repopulate systems list. I am just finishing up the final round of missing mods to be added to the database which I will probably be submitting tomorrow night.
Also, He-man pushes OpenBOR to the limits using nearly every feature available, which is why it runs sluggish.
-
@BiZzAr721 I tried to give OpenBOR an official place to the script setup by some PR. Sadly it seems not to be integrated.
-
@BiZzAr721 thanks for the reply. i’ve not seen skraper before, will have a look into it.
