@naddel81 I'm not sure about the TGDB scraper, but using ScreenScraper will search by the ROM name.

it's not as intuitive as a google search. for example if you type pacman, it doesn't come up with ms pacman as a result, just pacman.

For the ScreenScraper part, this is not implemented, but I think it would be easy to add. For the TGDB part, I don't know if it's implemented.

so "input" scraping is only supported in TGDB and not screenscraper?

@Greedo777 which version of retropie are you on? I'm not sure if the binaries are still being updated for older versions. Try updating emulation station from source.

I tried to scrape single games by using "metadata" -> "scrape".
Just read here that there is a second Scraper now chooseable, i was not aware of that and tried it with the default one.

Result was on both tries: the Pi freezed.
Something i did never have until now, had to Switch off the power Supply to start again.

Will try the second Scraper tomorrow when i am home again.
Just wanted to mention this issue, its not a real bad error for me as i use "Carbon no Meta" and just use the scraper to have the paths of the Images to avoid typing the whole path when i replace the Images against my own ones.

My setup is Maximum default as usual: default Retropie image updated to 4.4.8 (all installed packages), no mods, no overclocking, no gimmicks running on a Pi3B+ with genuine Raspberry Power Supply.

@sirhenrythe5th If you're using the TheGamesDB scraper, then it will download and cache a few files first, so ES might seem stuck. Give it a bit of time, it only happens the first time it runs.
