Hi everyone. First post here for me, sorry if I'm going about this the wrong way. I've searched for this topic and found a couple of related threads (1,2) but they don't quite address my question here, I think:

I'm looking for a way to bind some actions to direct buttons on my joypad, without the need to press down the hotkey button. I think having a hotkey button combination is great for stuff you don't want to do accidentally, such as saving or loading a state, but for actions like fast forwarding or rewinding, you really want a quick access.

Specifically, I'd like to keep the hotkey button, but for fast forward and rewind, I'd like to bind it to the left and right directions of one of the analogue sticks that aren't used anyway (SNES, Megadrive, Gameboy, etc). Is there any way to achieve this? Or is it binary, either the hotkey is on or off?

      Thanks!

Yes, the rewind is a hotkey checked action - if you have a hotkey enabled, then the action will be trigger only when you press both the hotkey and the action mapping button. So you can't have a Hotkey and trigger the action without it.

@mitu Got it. Thanks for the answer. I guess I wish it were a bit more flexible but I'll go with the hot key enabled then.
