      Hi guys,
let me start with saying that I'm newbie to the raspberry.
I have installed my raspberry pi 3B, into my PS classic, I just discard the PS classic motherboard and installed the raspberry pi. Everything is working fine, cables management, rest button and power button were installed fine, Except that when ever I power up my retropie, it starts automatically, then I can use the power button on/off, but when I unplugged the power then re plug it again, it starts automatically.

**- So, is there a way to stop the auto start powering of my pi ?

      • Another question ;), how can I install a momentary switch button that takes me back to my games directly when ever I press on it.**

Not out-of-the-box, the Pi automatically powers on when plugged in. You can use an auxiliary circuit, like a Mauseberry, ATXPi or Controlblock to control the power switch with a button.

Sure, you can wire such button on the PI's GPIO and execute a command when the button is pressed, including exiting the current emulator. There's a script created by @cyperghost (https://github.com/crcerror/ES-generic-shutdown) which can exit the current emulator with proper option (--es-closeemu).

@O-M-A-A I use a micro USB push button switch bought on eBay. Works great.
