Editing Default.cfg file in rom Mame 2003 folder

@mitu okay, well I actually only backed up MAME2003. So I should save the cfg files for FBA and all the different MAMEs, mostly 2003 and 2010 controls. After that I will uninstall retroarch and reinstall it. Update is a no go, yeah?

Why ? You can just as well run the update and it will re-install the packages with the latest versions available.

@mitu Ok, if there is an update available I presume. Is there a file that saves which emulator core I am using for each of these FBA/MAME roms? Or will that be fine?

There is one, but that's a configuration file that's not going to be overwritten. How did you install the RetroPie image in the first place ?

@mitu oh man, I didn't think I would be talking about this issue from the one I started. Thank you for your patience.

I believe I dumped the install files on the SD card and on first boot it went through the process of setting everything up, something like that anyway. I followed what the website said to do.

@mitu well, I presume the uninstall retroarch is in the Retropie/Retroarch menu and when I select that, it doesn't load...

@leitmotiv I think you sd card may be damaged.

@mitu Pretty sure I figured the issue out. It's the Drastic emulator for NDS which is when all of this started happening. Drastic causes things to hang up. Going to uninstall it and it should be back to normal.

Perhaps I will make a new thread to discuss my original question, if it is still there after the removal of Drastic. So disappointed that Drastic is causing this much of a problem.

@leitmotiv This is a known problem with Drastic - but there's an updated version that can fix that. See this topic.

@mitu Thanks for the link. I checked it out, but it doesn't appear to fix the main problem of disrupting retropie. It only fixes games with mic issues, if I understand it correctly.

Though in my case, it seems to have disabled the retropie setup menu as well... even after I uninstalled it. I switched to my backup SD card and so far no problems with the retropie setup menu, although, I still can't get other systems to boot after I've launched a NDS game.
