I recently asked for assistance on a Megadrive sound issue that was successfully solved, now the sound is crackling

      Megadrive emulator

I have an issue with all Megadrive games, the sound is crackling and after a while stops working.
I found the way to solve it by opening retroarch and changing video output settings.
it seems that it is a mater of Refresh rate or similar. Shortly I am in Europe and I work in 50hz (Estimated Screen Framerate).
it seems that to solve the issue I only have to change the Vertical Sync (Vsync) to OFF (which by default is ON)
by doing so, not only the games run slightly faster but the sound is perfect. I guess it is due to the fact that it runs at 60hz

This change works for every single game in Megadrive (Genesis).

my problem is that I am not able to save this configuration and I have to do it repeatedly every single time. Even if I put ON in Save Configuration on Exit.

Is there a way to force the Vsync to stay OFF??

      or, is there another way?

      additional info:
by now my Video outpu settings are
      Vertical Refresh Rade = 60hz*
      Estimated Screen Framerate = 50hz
*I tried to change the Vertical Refresh Rate to 50hz but the game wouldn't run properly unless I switch off the Vsync

      Thank you!
      Giorgio

@gioo7 The best way to save this is through an Override - make your changes to the RetroArch's configuration while you have the emulator open, then use the Overrides -> Save Core override in the RGUI.

About the inability to save - make sure you didn't modify the permissions on the configuration folder (/opt/retropie/configs/megadrive) and it can be written by the pi user.
