lr-mame2015 ... not saving high scores

Playing Green Beret (Rush'n'Attack) on RPi3 B+ high scores work fine with advmame, lr-mame2003plus, lr-mame2003 etc running Green Beret.
But, using lr-mame2015 it does not save high scores (only tested with Green Beret since lr-mame2015 has the smoothest scrolling and no tearing for this game)
Have googled around and can't find anything specific in regards to lr-mame2015 high scores not working, but found lots of 'fixes' for other versions which i tried with lr-mame2015 to no avail.
Anyways, it will probably be something simple again i've overlooked ;)

@ReadyPlayaWon it looks to me like it isn’t hooked up yet, but it would be pretty simple to do so. you could log an issue here and see if anyone picks it up: https://github.com/libretro/mame2015-libretro/issues
