I am new to raspberry pi and dont know much about it or coding for it. I am trying to install retropie onto the system. Im using a raspberry pi 3b+. At first the OS kept being corrupted because of low voltage going through the SNES style case i had for it. I took the raspberry pi out of the case and now it doesnt have that issue now. However two new issues came up. First the ethernet port isnt accepting the internet connection even though before it was, only the yellow light blinks for it. Secondly whenever i try to go through the retropi settings to configure things not through the menu from pressing start. Can anyone explain to me what is going on and how i can avoid these issues or resolve them?

@tyfogg Which power supply are you using? Use at least an original Raspberry Powersupply.

I don't understand your question exactly.

The power supply im using is working fine i fixed that issue

The issues i keep running into keep changing
now for some reason when i try to set up the wifi country in the retropie settings i get an error saying "could not communicate with wpa_supplicant" and then it says "there was an error running option I4 change wifi country" what do i need to do to fix this issue? i believe it is because of this that the ethernet on the raspberrypi isnt being accepted either
