Pre-Made Images for x86?

  • I have decided to up the game with my RetroPie arcade and I installed a Mac Mini (late 2012 i7 16 gigs of ram). I am trying to get better performance on higher end stuff and possibly add wii/GameCube to the system. Anyways, I’ve installed Ubuntu and I then installed RetroPie. Having always used premise images I did not realize how much configuration was put into the builds. Is there anyone out there that makes RetroPie builds that will run on x86 systems or is there a way for me to install existing Pi images on to this system? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

There are no x86 based images - the hardware is too diverse to have a one-site-fits-all image. Use the normal installation method and it should be fine.

  • Batocera Linux has a x86 and x64 distribution image. I don't know which linux distribution it is based on.
