scummvm: Extrapath por specific games in emulationstation (SOLVED)
-
Hello!
I've been searching for the solution of my problem all along the forum, but I haven't found anything. So, here's the scenario:-rpi 3b+
-Retropie v4.5.1
-Several games added to scummvm
-There are MT-32 roms in an extra folder. And it works great as I defined the extra path in scummvm launcher.BUT:
-There is a specific game in which I want a separate extra folder, so I defined it via scummvm launcher. It also appears in scummvm.ini, of course.
-When I launch that game through the scummvm launcher, that separate extra folder works fine.
-When I launch that game through emulation station via .svm file... that extra folder is not working: the game use the general one.Any help?
Thank you a lot! -

It's because the launcher specifically sets
extrapath
when launching the.svm
entry. But ScummVM shoud search in the game folder for the files needed - have you tried copying the extra folder files in the game folder ? -
Hello.
Thanks for your reply. The extra folder of that specific game is located in the game folder, yes. But is only used when launching the game from scummvm launcher, not from emulationstation.
Can I set
extrapath
on that specific .svm?I think I need give more data:
-Game is King's Quest VI CD (have the english voices, and also english subs)
-I have a spanish translation of the subs in the extra folder of that game.
-So, as explained, when launching game from scummvm launcher, that specific extrapath works, and I can read the subs in spanish.
-But, when launching from emulationstation, that specific extrapath doesn't work (it take the general extrapath), so texts are still in english.
(If I put the translation in the general extra folder, other games doesn't work properly, that's why I want to have them on a specific path)Thank you.
