Do retropie iso contain linux distro included?
There is not a retropie version that can run without OS to make it run smoothly?

RetroPie is a collection of emulators and tools. You can't use it without an operating system. If you want, you can install RetroPie on your PC as an application. If you have problems running it smoothly, ask in the Help section. The Raspberry Pi images use Raspbian distribution, which is based on Debian. https://retropie.org.uk/download/
Further, if you want install RetroPie manually on Raspbian: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Manual-Installation/

The RetroPie SD image is built on top of Raspbian lite (Raspbian without the PIXEL desktop environment) RetroPie can also be installed on top of the full Raspbian but you can't run Retropie and PIXEL at the same time, you will need to logout of the PIXEL desktop environment in order to run emulationstation and the emulators RetroPie installs.
