The endless fun of Arcade Machines
-
So I am back after building arcade machines and pinball machines and getting rid of them many times i had that itch again.
So a new upright with pi4 and an amazing ROM from Darius . That saved a lot of time over the old days with bezels and strange roms running on any old PC I could find.
Building the cabinet is always i think the easiest bit ( the joy of being a carpenter but as always setting up controllers is the fun bit. My advice double and triple check earths, instructions, buttons and everything else.
But Houston we have a problem.
Downloaded every help file etc and Reddit thingy. It was an intermittent fault that had me questioning my sanity and rechecking my previous work.
Here is the situation-
Retropi with emulation station. Ipac2 plugged in and working lets choice a game. Straight to Mame and play 1945. Start the game and the the IPAC is not recognised. Can play it with a keyboard. So unplug Ipac and replug it in and it works in the game. I have set it up but for some reason when ever i start a game i need to pull the USB out and replug in. I do not get the same fault if i use a keyboard. The power supply for the Ipac is good and powerful.
Does anybody have any ideas. I want to wrap it up and finish the art work. Thank you i look forward to sharing pics if the sledge hammer does not make an appearance. -
Welcome to this forum.
As much as I really like your writing style, making your title a bit more descriptive about your actual problem may help to lure potential helpers to your topic.
Just a friendly advice to help you in your endeavor.
