I'm interested in an updated version because despite the differing opinions, the general consensus is that N64/Dreamcast/PS1 (presumably) games work pretty well now.

I went through and coded my emulator on my pi3 a few years ago. It was awesome, but I could only get a few N64 games to work properly.

A lot has changed since then for me... namely adding another kid in the household to the mix so I don't have quite as much time to tinker as I'm not a natural coder.

This community here was awesome for help in my last go around where I was having problems getting two DualShock controllers to work via BT. I could never get them going simultaneously, but the community gave me a lot of options to try.

Any resellers y'all would recommend for a fully loaded Pi4?

@GoldenBear If you are referring to images with games illegally included check out https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/2/forum-rules

@GoldenBear None. They are all scammers. It's illegal to sell it. The devs don't get a single cent. Kind of a jerk move asking here. Only the official image is supported. Read the official guides on how to get it going. This is a DIY hobby. No coding has ever been required.

as others have said, we do not support third party images, and these preloaded systems break licenses and our hearts: https://retropie.org.uk/about/legal/

on a more practical level, retropie isn't a consume product so no matter how much a seller tries to sell it as one, it WILL need manual configuration at some point, and it WILL go wrong. if manual configuration is too much work for you (totally fair enough!) in encourage you to try the various official emulator boxes. the nes/snes classics are great, and the ps1 classic is flawed, but essentially the same emulator as retropie ships with anyway.

i'm locking this post as there's not much more to be said. if you want to try the official way we are here to help!
