      When following the instructions posted on the previous thread, I get the following error:

      fatal: could not create work tree dir 'tmp/build/daphne': Permission denied

      How can I get around this?

        The tmp/build folder is root owned, so you probably need to prefix the git command with sudo:

        sudo git clone https://github.com/grant2258/daphne-emu.git tmp/build/daphne
