      Hi all,
Looking to update my current Pi setup. Is there any advantage to purchasing the 8 gig RAM model vs the 4 gig RAM model in particular around N64 emulation. All other emulators I use run great on the 3B. N64 is unpredictable on the 3B which I am aware of. Just wondering if there is any benefit with Retropie on spending the extra on the 8 Gig Model?

      Current setup is:
      Raspberry Pi 3B
      Retropie version 4.6
      Official Raspberry Pi PSU
128 gig MicroSD Card (Sandisk Brand)
      4 x Logitech F710 Wireless Controllers,
      Logitech Wireless Keyboard and Mouse

      Thanks in advance.

      Greg

RAM isn't a huge factor. The biggest bottleneck with Pis is the GPU I think. N64 runs fine for the most on a Pi 4 2 GB so long as you know which emulators to use and how. Anymore than 2 is not useful at this point. I think I've read somewhere that even the most intensive emulators on the Pi 4 don't use up more than 1 GB at RAM at any one time.

no advantage. 2gb is fine. hell, even 1gb is plenty for emulation on pi.
