Can you disable left/right to move between emulators on game select page?

When selecting a game from a particular emulator, my kids have real trouble sticking to just up and down movement, and are constantly switching between emulators by accidentally moving left or right at the game select page for each emulator :(
Obviously moving left and right at the Emulation Station homepage makes sense. But much less so in the game select screen.
Is there any way to disable this (weird, IMO) left and right movement to move between emulators in the Emulation Station when at the game select page?

@codinghorror Press start in ES. Go to UI Settings and set "quick system select" to off

It was a recent discovery for me too even though it's been around a while. It's a great feature if you have kids as they seem flip between emulator lists and get really confused about what's happening.
