      Hello,

      I recently updated from Retropie 4.1(ish) to 4.7.1 so I'm trying to refigure out some little quirks.
      One of them being how to make analog work with psx games, and by that I mean play as if I had a dualshock in hands, not "mirror real analog inputs to emulated d-inputs".

      Previously in retroarch lr-pcsx-rearmed settings there would be an option to set input device type as "RetroPad w/ Analog " and "RetroPad" but it seems like they're now missing. So I tried both dualshock and analog (wich refers to the old japan only analog controller iirc) but none worked, nor did "standard"

      So for now whenever I try to play a game with dual analog support (eg : "metal gear solid", "tomb raider 4", etc) not only the analog don't work but nor do any buttons. It's like if there was no controller hooked up. But any "non analog" game work just fine. I'm probably missing out something really easy here ....

      UPDATE : I uninstalled both xboxdrv and xpad driver. It didn't change a thing.
      I also tried using an official Sony PS4 controller and same deal. "Standard" games work fine, "Analog games nothing respond.

      UPDATE 2 : I found the Retropad and Retropad w/ analog options. To get it I had to launch a game using lr-pcsx-rearmed -> access retroarch "quick menu" -> "restart retroarch" -> "Settings" -> "Input" -> "Port x Binds" -> "Device Type" ... Sadly setting them to RetroPad or RetroPad w/ Analog didn't change a thing too

      Pi Model: 3 (non B+)
      Power Supply used: Aukru 5V 3A
      RetroPie Version Used: 4.7.1
      Built From: Retropie image 4.1.0
      USB Devices connected: keyboard, mouse, controller (cf below)
      Controller used: PDP Afterglow prismatic wired controller
      Emulator: lr-pcsx-rearmed (installed from binary)
      Drivers installed : xboxdrv , xpad

        I'm really running out of ideas by now.
        So here goes some .cfg that seem relevant :

        • /opt/retropie/configs/psx/retroarch.cfg
        • /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg

          Try opening the core options and disable the 'Multitap' options. They are shown when 'Show other input settings' is enabled.

            @mitu I can see the "Show other input settings" Quick Menu -> Options, but I don't see anything multitap related. Closest I have is a Settings -> Inputs -> "Maximum Users" setting

              @aryetis Restart the game after enabling the option, then open the RGUI again and check the core options. If you don't see them there, then maybe there's another issue than what I had in mind.

                @mitu I don't see a "Core option", I'm guessing there is no proper "core option" menu and it's a term used to describe every setting specific to the current core (duh) thus including ; video, input, audio, etc... But even then I can't see anything multitap related.
                EDIT : nevermind found them, gonna test if it changes anything.
                EDIT2 : And it is changing everything ! It works now. Thanks a lot

                So a quick recap for future me and others :
                1/ go in the Retroarch menui/gui/RGui (with "home/select"+Y by default depending of your controller)
                2/ "Quick Menu" -> "Options" -> "Show other input settings "-> "on"
                3/ quit and restart the game
                4/ RGui menu -> "Quick Menu" -> "Options" -> "Multitap 1" -> Off
                5/ RGui menu -> "Quick Menu" -> "Options" -> "Multitap 2" -> Off
                6/ RGui menu -> "Quick Menu" -> "Controls" -> Port 1 Controls" -> "Device Type" -> Dualshock
                7/ quit and restart the game

                  @aryetis said in No controls for analog games lr-pcsx-rearmed (solved):

                  3/ quit and restart the game

                  I believe you can just close and re-open the RetroArch menu/RGUI instead of restarting the game.

                    Thank you for your post. Having two SF30 pro and got the same issue.
                    After configuring as per you post above, the mapping is strange. For example, the hotkey is used to jump under tomb raider.
                    In other words, the controller map is not as per lib-retro "standard" for psx. Any idea how to be back on standard lib retro mapping ?
                    My config : retropie 4.7.3 / pi 4
