      Isn't it that you can enter the retroarch menu from within a game and set input to mirror analog stick from dpad?

      Hotkey + North (in game)

      Settings | gamepad | analog

      Please correct the path, it's something like that

      For anyone running an older version of RetroPie, this game successfully installed on 4.3 for me. Note that I ran the normal install process but then had to manually move the install script module from ext to scriptmodules/ports, and then install like a normal port from within RetroPie to complete. The keymapper is indeed buggy, using it with my Xbox 360 controller corrupts the Dpad mapping for the game. So you basically have a choice between accepting the default mappings or losing Dpad support (with the game still being playable via the joystick). FYI, I tried @Lolonois' script but it errors out because of missing dependencies related to my older 4.3 install.

      Regardless, this is a frantic and fun game...definitely worth checking out!

      I'm haven't noticed any issues other than the not-centering. I haven't done any research, so I don't know what issues can be resolved with the analog deadzone.

      @MSP430 so far none of the systems you mentioned go over the resolution of your display. The PlayStation has a few games that go over, like tekken 3, or silent hill in the menus, but I’m sure it’ll look fine on a lower resolution display, if not a tad fuzzy and text might be harder to read in the higher resolutions.
      Just know that PlayStation and especially n64 will be iffy on a pi zero. Not sure about a zero 2 for PlayStation, but n64 on a pi4 has many performance issues which is much more powerful than any zero.

      @manuel_pieper have you checked your restrictor plate under the joystick? If its adjustable, maybe its in the 4 way profile instead of the 8 way?

      Thank you for your post. Having two SF30 pro and got the same issue.
      After configuring as per you post above, the mapping is strange. For example, the hotkey is used to jump under tomb raider.
      In other words, the controller map is not as per lib-retro "standard" for psx. Any idea how to be back on standard lib retro mapping ?
      My config : retropie 4.7.3 / pi 4

      This issue is now fixed as of 8-24-2020. Update from source if you experience this issue.

      You can chose a RetroArch based emulator for that specific rom (Afterburner 2) and you can also create a per-game config - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/RetroArch-Configuration/#hardcoded-configurations.

      @tsoliman i can safe to say that my NES30 does not do that.

      even if program it in switch mode and power if off. it does not come back on to switch mode. i have to hold power and Y each time.

      my Pro 2 is not with me. so i have to try that one later, but i think it was the same for that one also. even though others have said the same thing as you

      @DimaKompot works great installing the "evdev" python package from source:

      sudo apt install python-dev python-pip gcc sudo pip3 install evdev

      Thanks for your work, a decent way to calibrate was needed.

      So @ExarKunIv , just update emulationstation and it now magically works?? Sweet! And no, you were not alone! I actually thought my controller was defective because it was doing this same thing over several very different builds.

      I would probably still be running advmame for everything if it weren’t for those shaders in RetroArch. This and better analog support is the reason lr-mame2003 became my default, but it was mostly for the shaders. Now, Advmame is primarily for vector on my cab until someone adds hi-res rendering to the vector video in 2003.

      To my knowledge you can't, but I haven't put a lots of time into experimenting either. Acceleration, for example, seems to only affect the max speed. If you continue to test and find out something different, I'd be very interested.
