My pie is mucked up. How and why--i'm confused. Much have hit bad key combo or something.

      Anyway,
I just replaced the sd card with the backup.

I haven’t reconnected the current external hard drive yet as I’m not sure if the sd card will delete or change things in it.

Should I back up the hard drive or is anyone confident that nothing will be changed on my hd when combined with the new sd card.

The sd card is using the older retropie version, 4.7, and has the emulation station, retroarch and such on it... the hard drive has all the roms etc

I have tested it by itself without the hard drive. Only FAvorites and one other thing pops up on the theme...etc...start and select brought up retroarch and select brought up the metadata window.

From the manual from the person that built the pie for me:

"Both items are equally as important to back up. The SD card contains the “system” and the hard drive contains the “games.”"
