@dankcushions I liked the idea. But how do we do the randomization logic?

But we have to make a clean 0.78 game list (no clones, no mahjong, etc.).

very simple to to via the compatibility list.. filter by only 'blank' in the parent column.

or just keep generating a random number between 3-4722 until you have a game that is not a clone, mahjong, etc.

sure! ok, i filtered by blank-for-parent, which gives me only parent roms: list of 2681

now, random generated a number 1-2681 using https://www.random.org/

258 = bosconian (namco 1981)

i've heard of this! hope it works in mame2003? currently it's 'untested' on the compatibility list.

@dankcushions look at that map/radar!! Pretty similar to the New Rally X! (well, it's a Namco game from the early 80's) LOL.

The ROM file is bosco.zip, I'm using the .37b5 version on lr-mame4all and everything is fine.

There we go. It's nice to have all these in one place. There are plenty of great games I missed out on and looking them up in the future will be much easier now.
