Favourites section
-
Would it be possible to add a favourites section in each emulator, and the possibility to add and remove games to it from the contextual menu that appears by pressing "select" button?
Cheers

See if this does what you wish:

@suprjami Thanks! I will take a look at it

@kbronctjr: The Child-Friendly ES is great. I use it myself for favourites and haven't really had a problem with it. Keep in mind though, it is an experimental package, so make sure to backup your setup before installing it.
To take advantage of the kid-friendly icons you will need a theme that supports them. The link @suprjami gave you has a link to an updated Carbon theme that has support for them, as well as instructions on how to add them to another theme. I recently updated the MetaPixel theme to support them as well (I am currently fixing up Io too, but it's not ready yet).
There is also another way to do what you want. You can create a folder called "favourites" in each rom folder (eg:
roms/snes/favourites/
) and then put all your favourite games in that folder. You would probably need to re-scrape your gameslists and you wouldn't be able to manage them from the menu, but it is an option that I thought I would put out there. -
@mattrixk yeah I saw that the emulationstation detects folders (might be useful for game collections like spyro, crash bandicoot, etc) but it seems that the Child-Friendly favourites approach its good because (from the pictures in the wiki) you can fav/unfav easily and also see the favourited games in the global list, not only in the favs. list

@kbronctjr You can also set it so it displays only the favourites from each system.
