      Hi Gentlemen,

usually (before scraping) ROMs show up in ES with their filenames. After scraping they show up with their original game titles. But when having different versions of the same ROM (e.g. from different regions) then you cannot tell them apart anymore in ES. The filenames are different but their game titles are identical.

      Like this:
      alt text

The only way I have found to tell them apart is to enter the meta data editor:
      alt text

So does anyone have an idea how to handle this nicely? Maybe ES could display the filenames (without extension) instead of the game title from the meta data? This only makes sense with well renamed ROM sets I guess.
This also might be a decision from the used theme instead of the ES (I tried some themes but they behaved identically).

      Thanks guys!

        Hey Richard D. James umm I mean @vbs !
Which scrapper are you using? The one built into ES or the sselph's scraper?

In sselph's scraper you can change ROM Names to FileName which would handle this better.

@vbs which scraper? looks like sselph has an option to add/remove the region: https://github.com/sselph/scraper/wiki/Flags#-use_nointro_namefalse - set it to true, presumably.

Would it be useful to also add an option like that to the built in scraper?
