PSX games having Vertical line noise on animated sprites
-
@Werewolf have you updated since installing? Try updating lr-pxsx-rearmed from binary if not, as there was a fix that could be related.
-
@BuZz Thanks for the reply. I'll give that a shot. It was working fine yesterday though. Very puzzling.
-
@Werewolf did you change any settings?
-
@BuZz last night the last thing I was doing was trying to get the analog out to work with the config file. But I put everything back to default.
-
Ok good news, did lots of messing around and turned on a shader and found that the issue went away with a shader on. I then turned the shader back off and the issue is now gone. Very odd. But I guess good to document. Thanks

@werewolf
Hi , Mind to show me the step that you solve the problem, i having the same problem.
I already try to set the shader = false at "Configuration Editor" but seem no luck.. -
I would also greatly appreciate a reason or fix for this issue.
What I thought at first to be just an issue with Mortal Kombat Trilogy (character on the right has one of these lines at all times) is now happening with moving 2D sprites in other games like Valkyrie Chronicles and Blazing Dragons. I'm almost afraid to load up any more roms to find the same graphical glitches.
I also tried switching shaders on/off as stated above but nothing helped.
Only thing I have ever changed with my setup is the psx graphics enhancements and bilinear smoothing.
Thank you in advance for anybody that can shed some light on this.

sorry to bump this up but did anyone already find a solution for this?
Also having the same issue! -
I'm sorry too, but is there really any solution to improve this glitch since 2016 ? I got it on many 2d games with lr-pcsx-rearmed :/ I use pi 3B/retropie 4.5 (pcsx-rearmed updated, shader and filter disabled, many resolution tested, problem still here).
-
OKAY , resolve like this :
Retroarch options -> "Enhanced Resolution (slow) " , put at DISABLED -
@Vlad Yes Enhanced Resolution shouldn't be used for 2D sprite games.
