      The scrapers don't accurately scrape metadata for z-machine games. I'm not excited to build my own by hand. Does anyone have a zmachine/gamelist.xml that has a reasonable collection of metadata for these games? Metadata for the entire infocom collection would be a good start.

      Better yet, something that scrapped http://ifdb.tads.org/ archive would be sweet.

      Thanks.

        @wmodes you can look into building a web scraper of sorts to pull the metadata into a spreadsheet then use a CSV to XML generator to generate your gamelists that way (I did it with mame)

          @wmodes Did you ever have any luck with your Zmachine xml/scraping/metadata?

            @drylightn

            I've had good luck using the scraper built in Emulation Station. It picks up the lion's share of the Z-Machine titles I've thrown at it.

              @mediamogul Hmmm. Maybe my rom names are jacked up then? Is there a name of a good collection of complete zmachine roms that I could search for?

                I've had mine for so many years I don't even remember if they came from a collection specifically. You can try entering the name manually during the scraping process to see if that helps.

                  Hi @mediamogul @herb_fargus @wmodes ! Since I've had so much help from everyone on this site getting my own Pie setup, I wanted to go ahead and share my zmachine gamelist along with scraped data that's mostly complete as far as I know.

                  http://www.mediafire.com/file/uww54ob9zq3aa12/zmachine_gamelist_v01.zip

                  Obviously goes without saying this doesn't include the actual roms, but if you have your own should be fairly easy to get stuff in the right place. Let me know if anyone has thoughts on improvements. Thought about videos for example, but seems like overkill given that it's a text based game ;)
