I have a challenge! Help me !
-
I couldn't find so much as a historical reference or even a cover scan for the game. Is this it by chance?
-
@mediamogul hummmm, i don't think so! With a simple search on Google, you can find the ROM for download. I can't post links. Try to search "international Superstar Soccer 2000" PSX [redacted].
-
@mediamogul Hey, the cover is that. You are right. Can see the details on PSX DATA CENTER.

I would delete your reference to that search as it's probably a borderline offense.

Well, color me confused. There's no record anywhere of it being released for the PSX outside of Japan where it's original title was 'Jikkyou World Soccer 2000'. The site you referenced also seems to be the only place on the net with a copy. It's unusual that a game like this is not in some public record, but I suppose it does happen.
If it happens that you also can't get it to work, try using a Japanese BIOS to see if that does anything.
-
@horaciowm 15 bios' later and still a no go on the game
-
@edmaul69 have you tried the japanese BIOS?
-
@horaciowm maybe it is just a bad rom if you still have your old cd rip it from that and try it
-
Upps,
Some PAL PSX games were copy protected. There are ways to patch them. I think Google is your friend.
-
@jokey-carrot good Idea. I will try to find. Think is in my mom's house basement. But, let me tell you: i tried with 4 different ROMs.
-
@kisu2012 intresting. I will try to find some and post the result here.
-
@kisu2012 Hi! Sorry, but, can't find anything specific. Can you help me?
-
Come on guys. Must have a solution. Or should i buy an Intel Compute Stick, which is compatible with ePsex emulator, which runs this game and others perfectly?
-

You might as well build a pc emulator and load up Hyperspin.
-
@horaciowm That's a CCD image format (Clone CD image) and that's because it doesn't work.
After converted to cue+bin it works for me with mednafen psx core, but I suppose it will work with any core after conversion to the right format.
I used CDmage for doing that, only takes to me 1 min.
Just drag the .cue file on the left box and click on file>save as...
CDmage: http://www.mediafire.com/file/qiccft4dmadinif/CDmage1-02-1B5.zip Only 600kb.
Regards.

@Nismo Hi! Thanks for trying to help me. I tried. Got the cue file, openned with CDmage, saved as .cue. Same problem. Tried with more than two ROM files versions. Can you try too?
-
@horaciowm I tried , it works for me, you are selecting the bad cue, try the new cue, not the old one.
-
@Nismo are you trying on a Raspberry PI 3 as me?
-
@horaciowm I have not rpi but ccd image it's not supported, you need to convert , it works for me, retropie=retroarch_same cores
-
@Nismo where did you downloaded the ISS 2000 ROM?
-
@horaciowm I downloaded from link you posted.
