I've searched on here and apparently this hasn't been addressed much. I have two Raspberry Pi 3s and after following instructions on YouTube, web forums, wiki, etc.. I just can't get RetroPie to recognize my Bluetooth Nes30 Pro.

I upgraded the Firmware to 1.71
      I did do the following:
      sudo apt-get update
      sudo apt-get upgrade

I did go to 'RetroPie-Setup' and went to the bluetooth settings. I also turned off the hack for the 8Bitdo NES30.

So when I go to search for my device, it searches forever while my controller keeps blinking until it goes to sleep mode. I did press some buttons and the d-pad while as instructed by others but still won't find it.

I did try the controller via a bluetooth dongle on my Windows 10 desktop and it finds it instantly and works, but I've tried two Pi 3s and neither will find it controller.

      Any suggestions?

BTW: When 'searching' keeps going forever, is there any ways to exit out of that without having to reboot the system by using 'Ctrl+Alt+Delete' ?

      Thanks in advanced.

@BuZz Yes. I actually did that to test a PS3 controller a week before I got the NES30. Has there been reports of a conflict with the PS3 driver?

@qix77 When you install/configure the ps3 controller driver it opens a dialog which says

NOTE: You cannot currently use PS3 controllers with other bluetooth devices. The PS3 controller driver disables the standard bluetooth stack. If you want to use a wireless keyboard along with your PS3 controllers you can use 2.4ghz wireless devices that come with their own dongle.

You will need to remove it to pair the nes30.

@BuZz OMG. Thanks, BuZz. It worked.. I guess this was some information that I either overlooked or just didn't come across. You just saved me from a great deal of stress.

Thank you so much, BuZz... You are awesome. :)
